The sales staff at this dealership were helpful when I purchased my car, but the service advisors and mechanics are among the worst in the DFW area. During the first service, my car did not meet the specifications indicated by the dashboard message, which prompted a warning to check the oil level. The car has only 4,000 miles, and the service advisor informed me that it's normal for a car like this to use oil periodically, especially before reaching the oil change limit. Now, with 84,000 miles on the car, I've taken it in multiple times for the same issue. Each time, the service advisor has told me that it's not normal for the car to display this message after I've had the oil changed just 2,000 or 3,000 miles prior. Today, I took the car in for service again, and the advisor claimed that it's normal for a car to consume oil after 3,000 miles following an oil change, even though the car is supposed to have oil changes every 10,000 miles. I asked them to check the oil level and refill it if necessary, as well as change the transmission oil. Three hours later, I was informed that the vehicle needed another oil change. It seems that the staff lacks the necessary experience to provide good service, and the mechanics are not reliable either. On one occasion, I took the car in for an oil change, and they returned it to me with a leak from the oil plug. Although they fixed the issue, it happened again. I believe these people do not know what they're doing and have repeatedly made the same mistakes. From now on, I plan to find a different dealership that can properly service my vehicle.
Avoid this dealership. They treat customers like fools who can be easily cheated. I had to argue with them just to get the tint on the car which was already included in the price. The sales manager is very good at his job of lying to customers. The finance manager and also the registration receipt clearly stated the registration sticker will be sent home. But when I contacted them after not receiving it for a month, T J wanted me to come in person to collect it. Sent an email and also left voice mail for the finance guy Jason but got no response from him either.

I sent my Volkswagen here for a diagnostic and to replace the ignition lock cylinder. They took a month to complete repairs and were very uncommunicative about what was going on. After getting my car back, I realize the check engine light was still on, and had to drive the car back to the dealership. Lee Hall told me to come back if the lights turned back on. In about two days the lights, and I called Hall about it and he was dismissive and rude. My experience made me feel taken advantage of, and I have to find service from another mechanic, because of my treatment. BEWARE if you are bring your car here to be repaired. They call you back and try to convince you to sell your car, after they “can’t repair it”.
Mike was great to work with—kind, friendly, and brought a positive energy throughout the process. He provided clear options, pricing details, and was quick to answer all my questions. I really appreciated that he wasn’t overly pushy, which made the experience comfortable. Thanks again, Mike!
My wife and I could not be happier with the decision we made to go to East Dallas Volkswagen. After bad experiences at two other dealerships in town, we were very pleased to have found a place that treated us like family, not to mention their selection and prices were much better than anyone else. Mike Holloway, Rob May, and even Mr. Griggs himself went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. The team at East Dallas Volkswagen took what can be a stressful experience and made it smooth and easy. ⭐ 1 Star – Absolutely unacceptable experience. I took my 2015 VW Jetta TDI to this dealership and deeply regret it. What should have been a straightforward fix turned into a 5-month nightmare. Not only did it take forever to get the car back, but I had to return twice for the exact same issue—same error codes and everything. The second time around, it sat there for another month, and surprise: the same codes came right back after just 40 miles of driving. They charged Silver Rock (my warranty provider) over $6,000, only for me to later discover that the issue was a severely corroded battery cable—something so basic it should’ve been caught immediately. Anyone who knows these TDIs knows how critical stable voltage is for proper electrical function, including glow plugs. Misdiagnosis like this is just pure negligence. When I called to inform them the problem was still not fixed, they brushed it off and claimed the codes were "old." Really? Then why are they still showing up right after driving it? The lack of professionalism, accountability, and technical skill here is shocking. Avoid this place if you value your time, money, or sanity.
